We really enjoyed this quick and easy recipe! I made it with Jasmine rice, and served it alongside Jamaican style cole slaw. I like to cook with dried beans, however as happy to have this version for busy days.

Hi Mike, picking out the green onions, means you take them off the meat before you brown the meat. It's not a crucial step and you might not have had any green onions that stuck to the meat when you marinaded the meat, so I'm sure it turned out well. Thanks for your review. I really enjoyed reading it. I hope you enjoyed your meal!

So far so good. It’s on now. 3 small scotties, 1 diced, 2 whole. 5+ lbs oxtail/beef shank, cubed beef mixed. 4 cups broth. Otherwise I followed your instruction. It’s a process! I felt the marinade was scant considering the volume of meats I used. Should have doubled it. My slow cooker is full almost to the top! It’s going to be a real treat. Didn’t understand picking out the green onion part. I might remake the marinade and simmer it for use after the fact if I need more flavour. Lovely recipe Ms. Mavis 😊

Trying Injera in Ethiopia was honestly unforgettable. The texture is so different — airy, a little sour, but incredibly satisfying. Paired with spicy lentils or beef stew, it’s just perfect. What makes it special to me is how it brings everyone together at the table; it’s not only a meal but a social experience, something that makes you slow down and appreciate every bite.
