- 3 green unripened plantains
- 1½ tsp kosher salt
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp white pepper
- 1 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tbsp paprika
- 1/3 cup canola oil
Preheat the oven to 350° F (175° C) and prepare a baking sheet by spraying it with cooking spray.
Remove the peel from the plantains. Cut each of the plantains in half and slice them into thin slices using a mandoline. Wash the plantains and season with 1 teaspoon of the salt.
Combine the garlic powder, onion powder, white pepper, the remaining salt, chili powder, paprika, and oil. Mix the ingredients together with a spoon until smooth.
Pour the seasoning on the plantains and mix gently, making sure that the plantains are evenly coated with the seasoning.
Line the plantains on the baking sheet and place the sheet in the oven to bake the plantains; you will likely need to bake the plantains in batches.
Bake the plantains on one side for 10 minutes then flip and bake them on the other side for another 10 minutes.
